This lid is made from recycled PET and can be recycled up to eight times. Due to its European production and short delivery routes, rPET is the ideal sustainable packaging for takeaways, especially for beverages, fruit, and yogurt.

The lid can be combined with beverage cups with a diameter of 95mm.

A plastic marketed under the name rPET is made from used PET bottles. The empty bottles are collected, cleaned, and shredded. The material is then melted and processed into a component of the finished film, which is used in packaging, among other things.

The new method is also particularly energy-efficient because significantly less oil needs to be processed into polymers. There is generally no direct contact between the food in the plastic packaging and the recycled material. rPET is primarily used in the main layer, which forms the middle layer of the packaging or film.
